Order Processing

Orders are generally dispatched within 1–3 Japan Post business days after purchase. Japan Post business days exclude weekends and Japanese national holidays. Processing time is separate from the estimated transit time after dispatch.

Shipping from Japan

Orders are shipped from Japan. International orders are generally sent via Japan Post EMS. Another tracked service may be used when required by destination-specific customs, carrier, or operational arrangements.

Tracking information is provided after dispatch. EMS includes tracking and insurance or compensation coverage where applicable, subject to Japan Post’s terms, limits, and destination-specific service availability.

Estimated Delivery Time

Estimated transit time is generally 5–15 business days after dispatch. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery date. Delivery may take longer because of flight schedules, customs clearance, local delivery conditions, the destination, international circumstances, or other events outside our reasonable control.

United States Import Duties

Under AYUKO TOKYO’s current shipping arrangement for the United States, applicable U.S. import duties are prepaid before dispatch. Those applicable duties are not collected from the recipient upon delivery.

Duties and Taxes Outside the United States

For destinations outside the United States, duties, VAT, taxes, customs charges, or handling fees that are not collected at checkout may be assessed by local customs authorities or the delivery carrier. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient unless applicable law requires otherwise. Please see our Duties & Taxes page for further information.

Temporary Shipping Updates

Temporary destination-specific suspensions, restrictions, or material carrier changes are not incorporated permanently into this Shipping Policy. Current temporary notices are maintained separately on our Shipping Updates page.
