The design brings together the crisp language of 19th-century detachable collars with the Japanese concept of date-eri / kasane-eri — a decorative layered collar used in formal kimono styling to add color, elegance, and refinement to the neckline.

Reimagined as a tie-integrated detachable collar, this piece is not a separate necktie and collar, but one integrated styling accessory. It can be worn over shirts, knitwear, dresses, jackets, or coats, adding a distinctive yet composed accent to the neckline.

The collar section is made from the patterned outer side of the vintage komon kimono, featuring Japanese floral motifs such as chrysanthemums and seasonal blossoms arranged in a shikishi-inspired composition. The oni-shibo chirimen texture gives the silk a subtly pebbled surface and rich tactile depth, allowing the pattern to feel both expressive and elegant.

For the tie section, a rare ivory-to-bordeaux gradient portion from the reverse side of the same komon fabric has been carefully selected.
