The design brings together the crisp language of 19th-century detachable collars with the Japanese concept of date-eri / kasane-eri — a decorative layered collar used in formal kimono styling to add color, elegance, and refinement to the neckline.

Reimagined as a tie-integrated detachable collar, this piece is not a separate necktie and collar, but one integrated styling accessory. It can be worn over shirts, knitwear, dresses, jackets, or coats, adding a distinctive yet composed accent to the neckline.

The collar section is made from the patterned outer side of the vintage komon kimono, featuring a refined kiku-karakusa design in soft blue-grey and white tones. The chrysanthemum and flowing arabesque motifs create a calm, graceful rhythm, giving the collar a delicate yet structured presence.
